Ride East Africa is a thrilling mountain bike challenge through some of Africa’s most beguiling landscapes.
The 2019 challenge will take you across the sprawling lakes, green hills and smoking volcanoes of Rwanda. You will start at the capital of Kigali and finish cycling at Lake Kivu in Rubava. You will visit local villages and community projects on the way, and have the chance to witness Rwanda’s most spectacular resident – the mountain gorilla.
Ride East Africa is organised by The Slow Cyclist and Charity Links. Fundraising from this event will be split between Build Africa and five other charities which support educational and development work. By cycling for Build Africa specifically, 75% of the funds you raise will go towards Build Africa and 25% will be divided between the remaining partner charities.
