Gala Dinner

Build Africa took over London’s famous Café de Paris for a night of extravagance in aid of providing clean and safe water to communities without a reliable water source in Kenya and Uganda.

On Thursday 26th September, the home of Cabaret in London, Café de Paris, played host to Build Africa's sixth annual Gala Dinner. Over 100 guests enjoyed a drinks reception, and were entertained throughout the evening with acts from the highly talented Black Cat Cabaret.

During dinner, guests were treated to hula acts, silk arts, a mime artists and a hugely amusing comedy duo, all coordinated by the fabulous compare Dusty Limits.

The live auction boasted a variety of prizes from a stay in a luxury Kenyan lodge, to a set visit during the filming of Downton Abbey, including the opportunity to drive a Combine Harvester.

The night raised a fantastic total of £60,000, a proportion of which will go towards our Water and Food programmes.
