Fundraising Gala Dinner

September 2013 will see our sixth annual Gala Dinner; last year we raised over £100,000 for our life changing work in Uganda and Kenya.  Over the years guests have included such well known personalities as Baroness Thatcher, Dame Diana Rigg, Bob Geldof and Baroness Chalker.

This year the focus of the evening will be on the food and water needs of the children at the schools we work within in rural East Africa. Having enough food to have a meal or even a snack at lunch time and access to clean, safe water are basic necessities.  Sadly, all too often these basic needs are not met and children will suffer from the consequences of too little food each day, thirst or the effects of unclean water.

The Build Africa Gala Dinner will be held at the famous Café de Paris in Leicester Square on Thursday 26th September 2013 from 7pm. The evening will include wonderful entertainment, great company and a 'bit of fun' with our live auction. Naturally, you will also have the opportunity to learn more about our campaign to provide clean, hygienic water sources and food for lunchtime meals.
