London Marathon, 25 April 2010

Jean-Pierre DarqueStepping up to the challenge for Build Africa on the 25th April were Richard Thomas, Jean-Pierre Darque, Thomas Stofer, Ajit Tagore and Will Barsley:

Richard Thomas is a dedicated runner and fundraiser with 9 marathons under his belt. He has also completed the 56 mile ultra marathon in South Africa and is planning to do it again this year!;

Jean-Pierre Darque (pictured right) was introduced to Build Africa through Richard Thomas. An experienced runner, this was still his first marathon;

Thomas Stofer was introduced to the work of Build Africa though his uncle (who supports through his company). Again, this was Thomas's first marathon;

Ajit Tagor has only just taken up running so we were particularly proud to see him cross the finish line;

Although Will Barsley is also participating in his first marathon, he did run the Grim Challenge (an 8 mile run through rough terrain) for Buld Africa in December 2009.

We would like to say thanks to all our runners for completing the race and raising over £25,000 so far for Build Africa's projects in Uganda and Kenya!
