Creative agency challenges itself to build a school
5 May 2011
Flamingo, a Bristol-based creative agency, has taken on the rather daunting task of trying to raise enough funds by the end of June to pay for the transformation of Mumbuni Primary School in Mwala District, Kenya
The plan is to bring together a group of 250 (mostly unacquainted) people who will contribute £100 each. If they raise the total by the end of June, the school will be built this year!
As of writing this, they’ve already got 15 sign-ups in 3 days, so the project is off to an excellent start!
Each one of the 250 people’s names will be on a mural at the front of the school and supporters will be provided with regular updates on progress.
This is an amazing opportunity to help change the lives of an entire community, so if you’re interested in getting involved at this level, please don’t hesitate to contact Kat (kat@buildaschoolinamonth.org.uk).
We’d like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Flamingo for approaching us with this idea and for contributing their money, time and energy to helping the people of Mwala District, Kenya.
