Building Livelihoods

Overview

We work with men and women in rural communities of Africa to make sure they are able to earn a decent living, have enough food to feed their families and support their children’s education.

Kenya

In Kenya we work with over 5,500 women and 1,500 men in rural communities. Our livelihoods works ensures that individuals are able to save money, access credit and are equipped with the skills to help them grow their businesses.   Most of the people we work with are reliant on farming as their main source of income so we help them to increase the productivity of their farms and link them to markets to ensure they receive fair prices. We also help individuals diversify their incomes to ensure that they are able to cope with the changing climate and environment in which they live.
